Alabama’s unmistakable night sky is revered by many as being symbolic of the lifestyle here. From the cities and population centers, to the state’s rural and riverside towns, to the thousands of protected acres providing safe haven for threatened and endangered species, bright stars shine from above most nights, a heavenly reminder to love life and give thanks for simple joys, things like family, freedom and nature’s abundance and beauty.

Nestled amidst lush forest, and with the winding Coosa River nearby, Regency Pointe makes a fine place to experience the tranquil, natural beauty of Rainbow City, nearby Gadsden and the surrounding areas. Our corner of Alabama is on the rise and growing, no doubt fueled by stunning parks and natural areas, an emergent arts and culture scene, and, of course, our trademark southern hospitality.

Just 8 miles from Rainbow City, for example, is Noccalula Falls Park, where breathtaking waterfalls cascade some 90 feet into Black Creek Gorge. The Park is also the starting point for the World’s Longest Yard Sale. Held each summer, the four-day event spans 650 miles (all the way to Michigan!) along Highway 127 with literally thousands of vendors offering bargains on antiques and vintage wares.

Our area is also home of Silver Lakes Golf Course, itself a part of the world-famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Silver Lakes offers 36 holes of championship golf, and with courses aptly named Mindbreaker, Backbreaker and Heartbreaker, it poses a challenge for even the most skilled players. Plus, there’s no better way to unwind after the round than an afternoon or evening visit to Wills Creek Vineyards, a favorite, local stop along the North Alabama Wine Trail.

Indeed, whether shopping, dining, or strolling alongside, boating or kayaking the Coosa River, Regency Pointe and our native Rainbow City provide the perfect backdrop for the full and satisfying retirement lifestyle that today’s seniors want and so richly deserve.
